Bink Wines, 36.1

Owners: Deborah Schatzlein and Cindy Paulson
Grapes: Syrah, Merlot
We are Bink Wines — a small hand-crafted operation that is the outcome of two women with a passion for life and great wine. Over a decade ago, we dreamed of having a small, premium quality vineyard and making wine from the hills of Mendocino County, California. Out of that dream, we have created Hawks Butte Vineyard and Bink Wines, handcrafting small lots of wine with intense flavor and character. Bink Wines are deep in color and multi-layered, with a “black ink” quality that is reflected in our name.

Halcon Vineyards, 37.9

Owners: Paul Gordon
Driven by a love of the ethereal wines of the Northern Rhone and impressed by the cool climate characteristics of wines emanating from Mendocino, we searched the Anderson Valley area for a plot of land that could generate truly world-class wine from Rhone varietals. Having found such a site, a site dominated by the same schist soils found in Cote-Rôtie, a windblown, cool mountaintop with a view to the Pacific, we set out to plant a vineyard without compromise.

Judson Hale Winery, 40.3

Winemaker: Judson Hale
Grapes: Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
Established in 2010, our winery released its first bottling of the 2010 Walsh Ranch Pinot Noir and won the Gold Medal at the Mendocino County Wine Competition in 2012.  This balanced, ruby red medium bodied wine with complex aromas of dark cherries, plums, and strawberry pairs well with any dish ranging from poultry, beef, and fish to ham, lamb and pork. It is very complimentary to creamy sauces as well as spicier dishes. In 2013 the winery released its first Chardonnay. The grapes for this wine were grown on the Wattle Creek Vineyard which is also located in the Yorkville Highlands AVA. This 2012 vintage hints of exotic tropical fruit, (papaya, passion fruit, guava) and honeysuckle followed by a creamy persistent finish. It is well suited to pair with any dish ranging from poultry, fish and pork and is very complimentary to rich sauces. The winery also produces extra virgin olive oil made from five Italian olive varieties grown on the Walsh Ranch. Please enjoy our wines and olive oil and visit our website.

Route 128 Winery

Owners: Pete & Loma Opatz
Grapes: Syrah, Zinfandel, Viognier
The wines are only as good as their origin and skill from which they are created. The true meaning of terroir is the combination of soil, climate and viticultural skills. So why the Yorkville Highlands? From our first visit in 1998 to our property Pete sensed the incredible potential for winegrowing. Immediately after the purchase of the ranch property, Pete went to work on his tractor and planted 5 acres of Viognier, Zinfandel and Syrah with the addition of an acre of field blend Bordeaux varieties a few years later.

Theopolis Vineyards, 47.9

Owner: Theodora Lee
Grapes: Petite Sirah
Theopolis Vineyards is a small lot vineyard and hand-crafted winery located in California’s prestigious Yorkville Highlands of the Anderson Valley, which produces petite sirah, a red Rhone varietal. Established in 2003, Wine Critic Robert Parker bestowed upon wine made from grapes harvested from Theopolis Vineyards a stellar rating of 94-96 points, a spectacular showing for the vintner’s first harvest in 2006.

Emboldened by the great fruit produced by the land, it’s owner and founder, Theodora R. Lee, a bold and dynamic Texan and trial lawyer at Littler, is now bottling her own wines. In addition to bottling the richly intense and flavorful Petite Sirah, Theopolis Vineyards strikes a lighter note by bottling a Symphony, a white wine, which is a crossing of Muscat and Grenache Gris. Tastings Available Via Appointment. We hope you will enjoy our wines, and visit our website —

Yorkville Cellars, 40.4

Owners: Edward & Deborah Wallo
Grapes: 8 Bordeaux Varietals
We fell in love with the three ancient oaks on this property and were intuitively convinced that such a place would foster complex and richly favored grapes, and secured a 110 acre ranch in the town of Yorkville (Pop. 317). There were already a few acres of neglected Sauvignon Blanc but the quality of the small amount of fruit that these vines yielded was encouraging. With the help and dedication of our vineyard manager and application of the latest organic practices, we restored those vines to fine, healthy plants.
